1) Where do I vote?

In Fort Bend any registered voter can vote wherever you see an Election Location or sign to "Vote Here". To see locations, dates, and times for early voting for the May 2017 elections in Fort Bend, click here. To see locations, dates, and times for election day on May 6, 2017, click here.

2) What/Who am I voting for in the next election?

First, to find out what or who you are voting for in the next election (May 2017) is to first find out which precinct you live in. You can find your precinct on your voter registration card. You can also find your precinct by going to Precinct Guide page on the Fort Bend County website. Once there, follow the instructions to find your precinct.

Once you have identified your precinct, you can then go to the Sample Ballot page on the Fort Bend County website. On this page, click on your precinct number to see a sample ballot which will show what the ballot for your precinct will look like at the next election.

3) What do I need for Voter ID?

To find out what forms of identification you can bring with you when you go to vote, you may visit the Fort Bend Elections office Photo Identification page. For more information, you can also visit the Vote Texas page at the Texas Secretary of State website.

"Here is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID:

  • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)

  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS

  • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS

  • Texas license to carry a handgun issued by DPS

  • United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph

  • United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph

  • United States passport"
